For more than twenty years we have been developing watches for customers from all over the world. Guiding and creating their new watch collections, sourcing for the ideal components for them is always an enjoyment for us. Together we support our clients with all our passion, experience, knowledge and ideas - in design, in production, in presentation in the market.
The wish for an own brand and a collection became stronger and stronger. After so many years we asked ourselves: Why not set up something of our own? And why not now?
The answer is VANDAAG. That is north german dialect and means "today". And from today we write our own time.
We come from Oldenburg and surroundings, the northwest of Germany. Here, the Low German language is still part of good manners, and so the name VANDAAG was literally close at hand. Because besides the fact that a watch always shows the time of today, this name is fittingly representative of our philosophy of life: Life is not yesterday or tomorrow, but today. So we dared the step and started to create watches which correspond to our philosophy of life and are superior to competitors in equipment as well as quality - also in price. We often say to ourselves: "Put in everything that is good for a watch without overloading it."
Our drive is to develop watches with high design standards. We love the minimalist, Scandinavian design, but we also think that watches should be allowed to show a little more facets after the years of restraint. Therefore we add a touch of sportiness to the basis of straightforward and classic design.
In chronographs and diving watches, functionality is what counts for us first and foremost, so the matter-of-fact design with its masculine charm almost comes about by itself. Less is more here - and this is exactly what makes us North Germans what we are.
VANDAAG wristwatches are made of first-class materials and with the greatest attention to detail. We design and develop many components ourselves to ensure that they meet our high standards. Of course, everything is subjected to multiple quality tests, and a German master watchmaker refines and assembles our watches.
